Frequently Asked Questions

The Atlantic and Pacific Series have hip roofs (four slopes) with skylights at the center. The Islander Series has gable roofs (two slopes) with colored metal roofing and gable windows. Both are fully enclosed for warmth and privacy. The Hawaii Series is open-air — same hip roof and skylights, but lattice walls instead of full panels. Great for the feel of outside, just more comfortable.

Our enclosures are pre-panelized — walls, roof, doors, windows are all pre-built. You're assembling them on-site using the instructions we include. Most people finish in a day or two with at least two helpers. Larger models might take two or three days.

Our gazebos are freestanding. They sit on your deck or a wood frame base — no ground anchors required. That said, we do recommend securing it with additional hardware or supports, especially if you live somewhere windy.

Atlantic, Pacific, and Hawaii Series have hip roofs with tinted acrylic or polycarbonate skylights (90% UV protection). Sizes: 3'x3' for 8'x8', 3'x6' for 8'x11', 4'x4' for 10'x10' and 12'x12', 4'x6' for 10'x12' and 12'x14'. Islander Series has no skylight but includes gable windows for natural light.

Cedar shingles or solid cedar boards look beautiful and match the enclosure — they cost more and need periodic staining. Profiled metal sheets (dark brown, green, or blue) are more durable and low-maintenance. Both shed water well. Pick what works for your budget and how much upkeep you want.

We ship via flat deck truck from our Surrey, BC facility. The truck drops your enclosure at your driveway or curb — you carry the panels to your build site from there. Allow at least 2 weeks or more after payment for delivery.

Use a BEHR Premium transparent waterproofing wood finish or a similar product. UV exposure and water saturation are the two main things that damage cedar grain over time — a good finish keeps both out. Cedar ages beautifully when it's looked after.
